Zal Bilimoria is a co-founder and Managing Partner at Refactor Capital, a $50M seed fund backing founders solving fundamental human problems, with a deep focus in applied biology. His co-founder and partner David Lee was the Managing Partner at SV Angel.
Prior to co-founding Refactor, Zal spent 2+ years at Andreessen Horowitz as a Partner on the investing team working across stages & sectors. He co-led investments in Omada Health, Branch.co, AltSchool, Honor, etc., while helping to launch the firm’s Bio Fund.
Before becoming an investor, Zal spent 10 years as a Product Manager at Microsoft, Google, Netflix, and LinkedIn.
Refactor’s synbio investments include Solugen and a number of unannounced food science, physical materials, and platform companies.
