Bhatnagar’s research focus is to develop T cells into drug delivery vector that actively seek disease sites, assess disease burden, and synthesize proportionate amounts of proteins with desired properties. This approach will enable localized treatment by systemically delivered therapies thereby preventing healthy cells from unwanted side effects. His research is funded by multiple grants including NIH Director’s New Innovator Award.
