Nicholas is the General Manager for the Novozymes San Francisco site. Novozymes is a leading provider of industrial enzymes, microorganisms, biopolymers and other proteins which allow customer to achieve more efficient use of raw materials, reduce energy consumption, and replace traditional chemicals with more sustainable alternatives. Nicholas leads a Protein Engineering group focused on improving enzymes for Household Care, Food & Beverage and Feed industries. Prior to joining Novozymes, Nicholas co-founded Allopartis Biotechnologies. Allopartis built a best in-class enzyme discovery platform for biofuels and was acquired by Novozymes in 2013. He has a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from UCSF/UC Berkeley and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
