Marilene Pavan, Manager of DAMP Lab
Marilene Pavan is the Manager of DAMP Lab, a cloud-based laboratory harnessing synthetic biology and automation to develop novel biological systems using formal representations of protocols and experiments for the synbio cycle.
Biologist and Specialist in Strategic Management of Technological Innovation, she looks for faster, more scalable, and reproducible research results that can be transitioned from academia to society. Prior she worked in the private R&D field, in companies focused on Molecular Biology and Metabolic Engineering.
Marilene is also member of the STEM Pathways program (stempathways.org), which the main objective is to inspire, mentor, train, and empower current and future generations of students, with a focus on underrepresented groups.
