Gabriel Lopez, CEO of Synvivia
Gabriel Lopez is founder and CEO of Synvivia, a startup developing genetically encoded biocontainment technology for engineered organisms. Synvivia’s genetically programmable framework offers intrinsic biosafety and biosecurity. With Synvivia’s technology, engineered organisms are only active when and where intended. This enables the safe release of engineered organisms for therapeutic and environmental applications. Gabriel earned his Ph.D. in bioengineering from UC Berkeley.
