Bob Weinstein, President & CEO of Robertet US
Born in a small cottage in Brooklyn, NY in 1958, Dr. Robert M. Weinstein received his B. A. in Chemistry from Kalamazoo College, 1979. He went on to MIT where in 1983 he earned his PhD. in Inorganic Chemistry. His doctoral work was in the area of organic synthesis using main group organometallics with Prof. Dietmar Seyferth.
Dr. Weinstein started his career in 1987 in the Flavor and Fragrance industry at Firmenich S.A., in Geneva, Switzerland in process research for flavor and fragrance materials. After various positions Dr. Weinstein joined the Corporate Management Board of Firmenich S.A. as President of the Global Ingredients Division and the Global Supply Chain Division.
In September 2012, he joined Robertet as President & CEO, Robertet US. Robertet is the world’s 9th largest Flavor and Fragrance company and the world’s leader in Natural products. Their global span positions Robertet as a major player in all aspects of the F&F industry which now also encompasses active natural ingredients following two recent acquisitions.
Bob has also been active on industry association Boards as Director for the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) and presently as Chairman of the International Fragrance Association of North America (IFRANA).
